The Social, Cognitive, and Affective Neuroscience Laboratory at the University of Arizona College of Medicine Department of Psychiatry under the direction of William “Scott” Killgore, PhD, in Tucson, AZ, has a postdoctoral research associate opening beginning July 1, 2014 in functional neuroimaging and neuropsychological assessment.
Dr. Killgore’s lab is currently funded to conduct a functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) study of the effects of morning bright light treatment on sleep patterns and recovery from mild traumatic brain injury. The postdoctoral fellow will play an integral role in all aspects of this research project, including supervising research assistants, writing protocols, conducting neuropsychological assessments, processing and analysis of fMRI/DTI and behavioral data, and publishing findings in peer-reviewed journals. Additional opportunities to work on neuroimaging studies of emotional functioning, sleep deprivation, and social cognition are also available.
A PhD in neuroimaging, cognitive neuroscience, and/or related field and solid mastery of written English is required.
