We are seeking to hire a tenure-track or tenured faculty member in the area of cognitive neuroscience. We are primarily interested in candidates who use fMRI and other MRI techniques to study basic processes in one of the focal areas of research in the department: natural language processing, developmental plasticity and learning, or visual perception and visual control of action. However, fMRI research expertise in any area of cognitive science will be considered. A key resource available to the successful candidate is the Rochester Center for Brain Imaging which houses a research-dedicated Siemens Trio 3T scanner upgraded in 2009 (http://www.rcbi.rochester.edu). Applicants should submit a CV, a brief statement of research and teaching interests, and contact information for three referees via the following website: www.rochester.edu/fort/bcs. Review of applications will begin on November 15, 2011. The University of Rochester is an Equal Opportunity Employer and has a strong commitment to diversity and actively encourages applications from candidates from groups underrepresented in higher education.
